I have staggered along this road,
As a blind man might or a beggar.
Hungry with desire,
for what
you have revealed to me in the shadow of
the light which is
cast
from the soul of your eyes.
For that which reveals also condemns,
Penetrating the darkness of my soul,
Cutting a swath of forgiveness,
As a sword might,
For that which hurts,
also heals.
You have cut me down to shape me,
As sands do to a stone,
With sound and fury as waves,
That crash,
along the shoreline of my mind.
I have toiled through mud, storms and fury.
And with each step you have been with me.
Your eyes a transcendent,
light upon an
unknown horizon.
Your heart,
Both innocent and worthy,
Is a soul without boundaries,
As the ocean is without boundaries.
Yet cleanses,
and heals.
For you are the earth,
and the vessel that carries
all that is divine.
Because you love,
wholly and unconditionally.
And by this love,
Which is infinite in depth,
As the halo of the sun
is when it kisses the earth,
We shall survive.
